A high quality restaurant Michael Dounetas upgrades meat to “Art”! Wood Restaurant is much more than a simple steak house!
A lot of months before our restaurant opened in April 2019, we searched and found out the best cattle breeders, cheese makers, vegetable producers and other kinds of producers. We personally have chosen all the ingredients. We discriminated the salt blossom that comes from Crete and a rare variety of honey which is produced in Kranidi and both of them are provided to us by local producers.
As far as meat is concerned, it is carefully selected after our own searching. In Wood Restaurant, whole Greek animals are delivered to us, cows, calves, oxen etc and so, the whole process of preparation is done by us: beefsteaks, burgers, sausages after the meat has ripened in a specially made fridge for ripening which controls the PH, temperature and moisture.
Having obtained products of High Quality, it is time to cook.The kind of meat, its carving and the ideal way of cooking it either grilling it or done it on the coals or on the spit are carefully taken into serious consideration.We also use an old Greek traditional way of roasting meat in a kind of furnace being heated with wood so that it can give meat an amazing ( astounding)taste! Moreover, robata and other traditional Greek methods of grilling are used in our restaurant.
Expert Knowledge and ardent love for Greek gastronomy are combined with the International “culture” concerning meat in order to offer you an unforgettably astonishing meal!
